Baked Potatoes On Grill
Learn how to make baked potatoes on grill. An easy side dish for any grilled protein, these potatoes have a crispy skin and are tender inside!
- 4 russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
Heat the grill into two zones (direct and indirect). If you're using a charcoal grill, this means having all the coals on one side of the grill.
Wash the potatoes thoroughly and dry them using paper towels.
Pierce the potatoes in a few places using a fork and rub them with olive oil. Sprinkle salt on them and wrap each in aluminum foil.
Place the potatoes on indirect heat and grill for one hour. Then place them on the direct heat and grill for 5 to 10 minutes.
Unwrap the potatoes and cut them in half. Fluff the inside using a fork and serve with butter, sour cream and chives.
- Depending on the size of the potatoes, it would take between 45 minutes to one hour for them to cook.
- The potatoes are fully cooked if a knife is inserted easily into the potato.
- Russet potatoes work best for this recipe because of their thick skin and starchy inside.
