This air fryer potato wedges recipe is a healthier version of fries! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these potato wedges are everyone's favorite!
- 4 russet potatoes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
Wash the potatoes and peel them.
Cut the potatoes in half and then in half again so you have quarters. Cut each quarter in half lengthwise so you have wedges.
Place the wedges in a large bowl and fill it with ice and water. Let the potatoes sit for 30 minutes. Drain the water and dry the potato wedges completely.
Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and paprika.
Spread the potato wedges in the air fryer basket and make sure not to overlap them. You might need to cook in batches.
Bake the potato wedges in the air fryer at 390°F for 13 minutes. Check to see if they are cooked. If still not tender on the inside, cook for another 3 to 5 minutes.
- You can use any other seasoning such as dried herbs, cumin or coriander to make these potato wedges.
- It's important not to overcrowd the air fryer basket otherwise the potatoes won't be crispy.
- You can peel the potatoes or leave the skin on.
- If you're tight on time, skip soaking the potatoes in iced water and air fry them right away.
