  • 4 russet potatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Wash the potatoes and peel them.
  • Cut the potatoes in half and then in half again so you have quarters. Cut each quarter in half lengthwise so you have wedges.
  • Place the wedges in a large bowl and fill it with ice and water. Let the potatoes sit for 30 minutes. Drain the water and dry the potato wedges completely.
  • Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and paprika.
  • Spread the potato wedges in the air fryer basket and make sure not to overlap them. You might need to cook in batches.
  • Bake the potato wedges in the air fryer at 390°F for 13 minutes. Check to see if they are cooked. If still not tender on the inside, cook for another 3 to 5 minutes.

  • You can use any other seasoning such as dried herbs, cumin or coriander to make these potato wedges.
  • It's important not to overcrowd the air fryer basket otherwise the potatoes won't be crispy.
  • You can peel the potatoes or leave the skin on.
  • If you're tight on time, skip soaking the potatoes in iced water and air fry them right away.
